Jonathan: When I'm at work it is nonstop. It's just on.
So, nothing makes me happier that unplugging
and chillaxin with my nephew.
Right now Harry is in the middle of a hockey obsession.
All he wants to talk about is hockey, which is a little bit yawny,
I'm kind of lucky today, because little Harry
is going to reteach me how to skate.
I haven't skated in 25-years, literally.
I'm definitely going to fall. I'm definitely going to make a fool of myself.
It's okay, because I have an incredible teacher who is 9.
(upbeat music)
Jonathan: Harry and my sister live in Chelsea which is right
near the Standard Hotel in the heart of New York's meat packing district.
It make New York feel like a small town. Lots of parents and kids hang out.
There's hot chocolate. It's like a really fun fest of atmosphere.
I have watched Harry skate here a million times.
Now, I'm taking the plunge and doing it myself.
(upbeat music)
Jonathan: Thank you.
Lady: Your welcome.
Jonathan: Mine are going to take like 8 hours to lace up.
Harry: Because you don't even know how to do it.
Jonathan: Shut up.
Harry: (laughing)
Jonathan: Before I go out there, I haven't skated in forever.
Tell me. I need a little lesson.
Harry: Bend your knees. Take little steps and keep your arms out.
Jonathan: All right. I'm nervous.
Harry: Head up.
Jonathan: Head up. Bend my knees.
Harry: Yeah.
Jonathan: All right little dude.
(tense music)
Jonathan: Get over here.
Harry: (laughing)
(tense music)
(laughing)
Jonathan: You're not being helpful. This ice is very slippery.
Harry: It's ice. What do you expect?
Jonathan: (laughing)
(tense music)
Jonathan: You're completely embarrassing me.
Harry: Why?
Jonathan: Because you're like a little pro skater.
Take a look at what I'm doing, and tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Harry: Uh. All I got to say is everything.
Jonathan: (laughing)
Harry: First bend your knees.
Jonathan: Okay.
Harry: Keep your head up.
Jonathan: Head up.
Harry: Yeah. Now, push.
Jonathan: Head up, bend my ... so, you push as hard as you can, right?
Harry: Yeah.
Jonathan: You're like a little piglet.
Harry: Hey Johnny.
Jonathan: What?
Harry: Let's have a race with the penguins.
Jonathan: I'm so not racing you. There's no way.
Harry: No. With the penguins.
Jonathan: All right, with the penguins I'll race you.
Harry: On your mark, get set, go.
(happy music)
Harry: And back.
Jonathan: (laughing)
(happy music)
Harry: I win. You loose. You suck.
I want to teach you coke bottles.
Jonathan: What are you teaching me?
Harry: Coke bottles.
Jonathan: I think I could get good at this.
Harry: If you think you can, then do it.
Jonathan: Harry you're like a great little teacher if you weren't so critical.
Harry: I have to be critical.
Jonathan: Why do you have to be critical?
It's like a tough love kind of thing.
Harry: Yeah. I guess.
Jonathan: Like if you weren't critical I wouldn't really learn.
Harry: Right leg in front, arm out, crossover.
Jonathan: Show me.
Harry: Like this. That'll help.
Jonathan: Can you do backward crossover?
(happy music)
Jonathan: I hate you. Har.
Harry: Yeah.
Jonathan: This is your chance to show the world what a great skater you are.
Harry: Okay. Well, then get out of the way. Now do it.
Jonathan: Okay. Do it you little piglet. Go. What?
(fast music)
(laughing)
Jonathan: Woo. All right I'm beat. What do you think? Did I get better?
Harry: Let's take a little break. Than we'll see.
(upbeat music)
Jonathan: Look what I got. Hot chocolate for me, and tea for me.
Harry: Hey.
Jonathan: What?
Harry: Give me that.
Jonathan: All right on a serious note, what do you think of my skating?
Harry: You're good for 25-years.
Jonathan: Right. I hate to say this Har, but I don't like to give you
complements too much. You are genius on the ice.
It's like natural to you.
Harry: It is natural.
Jonathan: This is awesome. I fell like I got a lot better.
What could you teach me the next time?
Harry: Backward.
Jonathan: Backward crossover? All right, I'm in.
Harry: If you can do a crossover.
Jonathan: Uh, hello. I think I did a crossover. Did you not witness it?
Harry: I witnessed it.
Jonathan: Thank you. All right, backward crossover next time.
