In America last year 300,000 veterans were homeless for at least 1 night. So, I started
a company called Rags of Honor. We hire homeless and chronically unemployed veterans. We do
custom silk screening. We train them. We give them a living wage. We give them a way to
get back on their feet. The t-shirt industry is a 30 billion dollar industry. It's bigger
than the music industry. Today, in America, only 2% of all the clothing we buy is made in the U.S.
We just decided to start a company. Use American made t-shirts. And use homeless
veterans to produce them because we think it's the right thing to do and we call it
our economic patriotism test. I'm trying so hard to build this thing.
Just, I promise. I promise. I promise. If I get some work I'll call you.
I served in Afghanistan in 2010. But I was in a bad place, homeless and needed help.
And Mark came and found me at the school. And gave me a job right on the spot.
It's kinda hard to see somebody be that nice. I'm not used to it, you know, growing up on the south side of Chicago.
I served in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 in Kandahar province. When I came home I attempted
to transition back into a normal life style. But it proved extremely difficult because
I had began to realize I have experienced things in life that other people had not.
And it was extremely hard to fit in anywhere. A lot of people look at you as a liability
when you're a veteran because a lot of veterans claim disabilities, mental problems.
Mr. Doyle has taken in myself and several other veterans and he's helped us to the point where I don't
know where any of us would be without him.
Our mission is to be the largest employer of homeless veterans in America. It is a daunting
challenge. But if you want to make a difference in the life of a veteran go to ragsofhonor.us today. Give us your custom order.
To every single dollar that anyone puts towards this organization goes directly to helping
homeless and unemployed veterans like myself to live a normal lifestyle.
We had your guys' backs, let's keep the shirt on ours.
