Hi friends,
Today we´re going to prepare
homemade sweet chili sauce,
very good to dip
with many Asain dishes.
I leave the link of the recipes below.
It is very easy to prepare
and with no preservatives or thickeners.
Ingredients to make 180 milliliters
2 cloves garlic (pounded)
2 red hot chili peppers (pounded)
If you don´t like too much spicy
You can put less chili or replace one
with a piece of red bell pepper.
100 ml rice vinegar
1/2 cup water
100 g. of sugar
I use half of palm sugar
and the other half of white sugar
but you can also use all white sugar.
and 1 teaspoon of salt
in a saucepan over medium heat add water
sugar
rice vinegar
salt
and stir until everything is dissolved.
then add garlic and chili peppers.
stir and bring to boil about 7-10 minutes.
at this point turn off the heat
stir and let it cool.
Here you can see how it looks after turn the heat off.
and how thick once it completely cooled.
Put it in a glass jar
and close well
We can keep the sauce in the fridge for a week
and eat it with our favorite dishes.
