Iam going to share a gujarati recipe which is Golpapdi
when one first learns to make a sweet, one usually makes wheat flour sheera or golpapdi
Golpapdi requires very less ingredients
So lets start making
Heat some ghee in a kadhai
Allow it to melt
Add whole wheat flour
Keep stirring continuously till it turns golden brown in colour.
sauté on a slow flame for approx. 15 to 17 minutes
The flour has turned golden brown
Switch off the flame
Add the grated jaggery
Now mix well
till the jaggery has melted and mixed well with the wheat flour
Remember to take grated jaggery only
this way the jaggery will melt faster
Now spread this mixture on a plate
I have greased it with ghee and sprinkled some poppy seeds
spread it evenly on the plate
Tap it properly on the plate
Now cut them into pieces when it is a little warm.
You can cut them in either square or diamond pieces.
Iam cutting them in diamond shape
Garnish with almond slivers
Cool completely and serve
