Hi, this is Alia and welcome back to cooking with Alia International Edition!
and today, I have a special guest, Elsa!!!
Hello! Elsa, where are you from?
I'm from France, I'm from Paris.
French food is Amazing!
and today, you're going to show us how to make something delicious?
I'm going to show you how to make Canelés, which is the very famous french dessert.
Canelés is from the region of west of France
It's very very easy recipe and very very good.
Very easy!! We love that!
Elsa is waiting for beautiful baby
and she also has a beautiful son whose tall is big
Yes, super big.
You don't have time , so This 's something you like to do when you don't have time in a quick?
Yes, and you don't need very complicated ingredients, too.
and everybody will love this.
Oh! Every body will love this, it's easy, not complicated, this is our recipe!
I'm ready, Let's start!
In a saucepan, combine the milk and butter. Cook on medium heat until the milk reaches a boiling point.
In the meantime, sift the flour into a large bowl.
Add the sugar and the pinch of salt. Mix.
Add the 2 eggs and the 2 eggs yolks to the flour mixture.
Mix well with a whisk until you get a very smooth batter.
Remove the milk from the heat and add the vanilla extract. Let the milk mixture cool down a bit (for 5 minutes).
First, we're going to add a little bit of boiling milk to the mixture, for the eggs to warm up,
If it's too hot and add all on once, the eggs will cook
keep adding the boiling milk mixture a little bit at time, while mixing vigorously.
Cover the batter with a plastic wrap and put in the fridge for at least 1 hour (and up to 12 hours) before baking.
It's very easy, just mixing all ingredients together.
You need Canneles molds - but if you do not have them, you can use regular molds.
to get these easy and easy to remove the cake, we brush the molds with melted butter
Once you brush the molds with melted butter, place them in the fridge for 30 minutes for the butter to stick.
The Canelés dough was in the fridge for one hour, so you can see it's a little thicker
So now, it's rested, we can bake it.
We're going to transfer it into the container.
The silicon molds are very flexible. so, it's very hard to transfer them from your kitchen counter to the oven.
We have to place them on the baking rack of the oven, so it's easier to move them.
Fill the molds 3/4 full with the batter, not totally to the top.
First, you cook the caneles at very hot oven at 500 F which is 260 C degrees for 10 minutes.
Then, reduce oven temperature to 360 F / 180 C and bake for around 1 hour
so, you have to bake them until they got deep golden color.
Some people like them more brown, some people like them lighter.
and now, we remove them
Wow!! Look at this, the beautiful!!!
They have to cool down to have this crispy outer shell and smooth inside
you don't have to put them in the fridge, just keep them in your kitchen counter until they become at room temperature.
Look at these beauties!!!!
the outside is crispy and inside is soft.
Bon appetite
