Do you optimize across multiple channels and cross promote?
What do you think he means by opti--
or I'm assuming ZenArcher is a he,
but maybe I'm wrong-- what do you think
they mean by optimizing across multiple channels?
What's that mean?
The only thing I can think of is adding featured channels
to your channel so that it shows up in the one channel
design of the upper right column.
Then it says related channels underneath that.
So you could cross promote with other channels that way.
That's the cross promote part.
The optimization part, I was thinking maybe
they're using the same keyword phrase amongst multiple change.
Oh, I don't know.
See this is interesting.
And Mark, you probably would know more about this than I do.
But I've heard talk that if, let's say
you're a family vlogger channel.
If you feature other channels in that featured channels
thing on your channel that are other family vloggers,
in the same niche, same content, that
helps give more context to YouTube
or how they're going to rank your channel.
Or similarly, if Video Creators, REALCO, and vidiSEO all
were adding each other, that would help all of us.
Because we're all similar in that way.
Sure, I don't have access to their algorithms, obviously.
But if you think about a page that a robot,
essentially, has to figure out what it's about.
And it's a family vlog channel.
And now I've got three other families who do vlog.
That's obviously, even at the most simple,
Google is going to better understand
that that page is about family vlogs.
So certainly, but beyond that, they
have a ton of data-- I don't know whether they're utilizing
it-- from those channel owners in terms of their audiences
and if they can mine the two together.
Certainly and there's no reason not to link to other content
that your audience you feel will enjoy.
Because it's going to help with overall view session time.
