Boku Paya-tan ("I'm Paya-tan") Lyrics: Oowada Hideki Song: Satou Rina
I believed that Magic Land was the country of dreams,
And that's why I signed up to join
The HMK (Holy Magic Kingdom) Mascot Marine Corps.
It was the fastest way to get permanent residency.
I believed that the more Marxists I killed the more freedom we'd get,
but all that increased was the number of corpses of my friends.
Swimming through a sea of ***, eating maggots,
I fought to protect the HMK.
The sarge said to me:
"WELCOME TO HELL, CHERRY-***!"
By the time I realised that war was hell,
it was already too late.
I'm Paya-tan.
I did whatever it took to survive.
I was a member of the HMK Mascot Marine Corps,.
A filthy piece of *** jarhead dirtier than his own *** hole.
I killed women and children, I killed in the name of justice.
But it turned out that there was no such thing.
I killed magicians and fortune tellers, but I still couldn't find an answer.
The sarge said to me:
"HOLD YOUR TONGUE, ***!"
And in the end when my whole body stank of death,
I didn't even care anymore.
I'm Paya-tan.
Boku Paya-tan Dai-2-shou ("I'm Paya-tan, Chapter 2") Lyrics: Oowada Hideki Song: Satou Rina
When the war was over, I was left an empty man,
And I left the HMK Mascot Marine Corps.
My wounds had reached even my heart.
Scott and Joe had died, tortured and killed.
In the end we couldn't tell them apart without their dog tags.
When I gave that body and medal back to his family,
I said that "he was brave".
His aged mother said to me:
"Shut up! Give me back my son!"
When I lie in my bed alone at night, I find that
the sound of them begging for their lives still won't leave my head.
I'm Paya-tan.
Back in my hometown for the first time in ten years, everything had changed.
The only thing to show I'd ever lived
was the HMK Mascot Marine Corps.
My childhood friends called me a heartless murderer
"The war was pointless". "Love and peace to the world".
A bunch of *** brats who were living in safety sang that at my face.
Did my friends die with their own guts in their hands
so that these *** could sing?
The last time I heard him over the radio, Greg said:
"Lousiana! My home, beautiful Louisiana!"
It's a good thing you never got home.
Your home remained beautiful to you till the end.
I'm Paya-tan.
I had no place to go, and so I returned to
the HMK Mascot Marine Corps.
My only hometown is the battlefield.
Like a schoolkid selling hotdogs at a gasoline stand,
I killed, and killed, and killed.
There's no difference to the dollar bills in my hand.
They just smell a bit like blood.
The sarge said to me:
"You're like a killing machine, you crazy ***!"
If only I really were a machine.
I don't want to see that dream again.
I'm Paya-tan.
