Hi, my name is Sheryl McGlochlin with crazysheryl.com and welcome to expertvillage.com. I am here
in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I love the outdoors, especially in the wintertime. And you can
too. You can enjoy walking and hiking if you have the right kind of clothes and you understand
what you need to do to really enjoy the outdoors, especially in the winter. Sometimes it will
get zero degrees, and it is fantastic! In fact, another reason why it's so important
to at least learn how to do this is there are times when you will be in an emergency
situation and, maybe your car broke down, breaks down, and you're going to have to walk
for ten blocks. If you learn how to enjoy walking in the cold and actually stay warm
and be comfortable, then if you did have to walk or go get help from someone, and you
had to spend time in the cold, you would already know how to do it, especially in emergency
situations. But we do it just for recreation, and we're going to talk about some of the
different tools and things that I use to make this such a pleasant experience for me. And
we'll get to that in the very next segment.
