Hi there! I’m Fran Freedman from Morning Starr Animal Sanctuary. I’m here to tell
you about how to buy a ferret on behalf of expertvillage.com. Actually, before you even
start your search, you should do some research with the internet and libraries. Now, there
is now no reason you can’t find out all there is you need to know about ferrets. You
could go to the pet shops and you could go to some larger pet organizations to buy a
ferret. Make sure that the sales person is informed and can answer all of your questions.
If all of your questions are not answered, definitely do the research yourself or call
a place that can answer all of your questions. There are a quite different kinds of animals;
they are not like a dog or cat at all. I would suggest of course, that you would contact
rescues, who are usually listed either on the American Ferret Association list at their
website, which I believe is afa.com. You can search out all different rescues from all
over the country. Definitely, we have almost 50 ferrets here. I know most of the rescues
are also very full with young ones, old ones. We’ve got every color, every shape, size,
gender, that anyone could want. But definitely, know what you’re getting into and make sure
all your questions are answered before you get a ferret.
