VICTOR FEGHALI: Hi. This is Victor for ExpertVillage.com, and we're here at Foothill Carpet to show
you how to buy carpet for your home. This is one of the patterns that is called berber.
Berber is all looped so it's not a cut pile. It's a looped pile and it's called berber.
Usually, people like that in heavier-traffic area, especially if they don't want to see
foot marks and vacuum marks. These are the two things that people, you know--cleaning
their homes, they don't want to see every step when they walk on the carpet. This would
be an example of a carpet that's going to hide that. Better yet, we mentioned some of
the hard surfaces and tile would be an option for--usually, it's used in kitchens and dining
rooms and bathrooms, entryways. You will find a lot of entries that have porcelain tiles,
and now the selection is huge. You know, when we first started, 20 years ago, you had 8
x 8, maybe three, four colors. Now, there's thousands of different colors and sizes, and
there are larger pieces of tile that people use. And they have designs. They have decorative
borders. They have just to anybody's taste. And porcelain tile is more durable than ceramic
tile. It's like the same inlaid color throughout the material and it makes it more durable.
