I'm going to talk about Delvaux, behind the scenes
or rather the cool things that you can see behind the scenes at Delvaux
I've been able to gatecrash Bea Ercolini and Elisabeth Clauss' report
to see how it looks
Firstly, it's beautiful!
What else did I see ?
Little handbags
Big handbags
Beautiful handbags
A little book illustrated by Valentine De Cort showing the new collection
That made us want to see the new collection at Christina Zeller's office
You know what...the first thing about Christina Zeller is that she has class
She's Image and Product Director at Delvaux, which is great
but she's also got one hell of a CV!
She's worked for Lagerfeld, Lacroix, Givenchy
and here she is talking about the Delvaux woman with affection.
The Delvaux woman is someone with a lot of personality, conviction,
A woman who is concerned with quality, detail
who will look inside the handbag as well as outside
That is SO me!
So we went to have a look at Christina's office
It's beautiful!
What?
The wall.
Ah,the moodboard
(Embarrassed)
To sum up we were able to see the beautiful new packaging with the gorgeous crown
Like a princess
A quick glance at the studio of stylist Julie De Taye
who tells us about what blew her away when she first arrived at Delvaux
What surprised me is that it's still fresh
all the artisans who work here, who are almost in their 60s,
are passionate about their work and it's real
It was a pleasure to see
And I finished my visit by asking one question
which was running through my head from the start
Do you all get a Delvaux when you work here?
A Delvaux? I have a little Delvaux at home.
but I'm lucky enough to be able to borrow all the bags, for advertising of course.
is everyone?
yes, everyone.
How lucky is that?
Don't miss the article in the April issue
which is out on the 22nd March
