HFF is a commercial real estate intermediary.
We have 21 offices throughout the US and over 500 employees.
If you have a building you want to sell we will find a buyer for you. If you have a building you want to purchase we will find the financing for you.
If you're a bank and you want to keep track of the mortgage payments, we will also service the loans for you.
The role IT plays at HFF is to improve the infrastructure, improve the experience for the users,
make things easier for everybody so that they can get their work done and business can grow.
One of the reasons we went with Dell was because they had an entire range of products that they could help us with.
We are a sales driven company so we have sales people that are out in the field at all times travelling all across the country for meetings.
The Ultrabook, specifically the XPS 13, was the product we have been searching for five years now.
The users are primarily using this as a travel laptop to do presentations, so they have their standard Office Suite, their productivity tools.
It meets the need of cost, it meets the need of performance, and it meets the need of size.
Additionally a nice factor is it looks great. Our sales people have had nothing but good things to say about it.
HFF currently has 340 to 350 Latitude laptops deployed in our enterprise.
All of our producers use the Latitude E6430s.
The things that our users like the most about the Latitude laptops are the durability, the look and feel of them, the battery power.
From an IT perspective it would be the CompleteCare support, the ease of getting into the chassis,
the management of it, the new tools that are available to do troubleshooting.
Having the right product for each user helps with the productivity and Dell makes that really easy.
Our servicing department, our production coordinators, and the real estate analysts are using the OptiPlex platform.
We currently have 280 to 300 OptiPlex desktops deployed in our enterprise
consisting of 780s, 980s, 790s, and OptiPlex 7010s.
Dell helps us out a lot by customizing some of our configurations
where we need to beef up some of our hardware platforms for our power users like our graphic designers, our production coordinators.
With KACE we can manage all of our computer systems whether they be laptops, or desktops, or servers.
From the time the Dell KACE 1100 arrived at our location to the time all of our machines were visible and we were deploying software
was 8 hours, and that is to 500 machines in 20 different locations.
The Dell KACE 1100 has allowed us to get visibility into how software is being used.
We're able to look at the usage of the software, see who is using it, see who's not, reallocate the software, and save thousands of dollars.
Dell has everything that we need in one stop.
We can go to our Dell account team and say 'We're having this issue, we need this solution,'
and they're willing to go out there and research it, and find it for us.
Dell definitely has given us the power to do more with a lot less staff, a lot less money, but a lot more confidence.
