Margarita - Conch Republic Bikinis Cocktail Hour
Carl: Hi I'm Carl, I'm the founder of Conch Republic Bikinis. Welcome to Conch Republic
Bikinis' Cocktail Hour. It's our weekly release and our first episode where our beautiful
bikini models will be making you a cocktail. This week, we're going to be making the Conch
Republic Margarita with our secret ingredient. You'll have to watch the video to actually
see what that secret ingredient is. Remember, every one of the bikinis that our girls are
wearing in these videos can be bought at conchrepublicbikinis.com.
This shows already under way for this week, so let's jump right in and see what that secret
ingredient is. Until then, I'm Carl, I'm living life on the coastline and between the tan
lines. Cheers.
Carl: And we're going to make our special margaritas tonight. We got Leah here to help
us how to do this.
Leah: Hi!
Carl: And I'm enjoying one now, but Leah needs one as well so we're going to watch her make
one and then we're going to taste. So Leah, let me walk you through how to make this.
Leah: Okay!
Carl: All right, first you're going to fill up the shaker full of ice.
Leah: All righty, I can do that.
Carl: Do that, use your hands.
Leah: Clean ice, clean hands.
Carl: Okay, great. Next we're going to put five key limes. Now key lime isn't your traditional
larger lime like you find in the store, which is a Persian lime. Key lime is a lot tarter,
tastes a lot better, and it goes a lot better with Patron. We're going to do five of these
per drink.
Leah: Great, I got four cut out for you. Cut one really quick.
Carl: Don't cut your finger on it.
Leah: I know, that would be very bad.
Carl: It's always helpful if you've got a little special lime squeezer. She's going
to put all five of these right here in the shaker, and we get to watch her for like three
minutes while she does this.
Leah: It's actually really fun to do!
Carl: Like you put them into the pool.
Leah: I know!
Carl: Do you like our poolside bar?
Leah: Yeah, key limes in it?
Carl: So, Leah is wearing our Key Lime Green Bikini, and this is one of our first bikinis
that we launched with Conch Republic Bikinis. And of course you can buy this bikini at conchrepublicbikinis.com
and it will be available starting in October. And why don't you give us a little twirl around,
Leah, and show us, show us how great you look in that.
Leah: It's very comfortable, and it's colors very nice. Also brings out your tan, even
if you're not tan, it makes you look tan.
Carl: And we really like how much it covers in the back.
Leah: Yeah, best part of it.
Carl: All right, how you coming there?
Leah: Good, almost done.
Carl: So after she gets all of the lime in here, then we're going to go over to the Patron
and a couple of the other mixers, otherwise if we didn't put that in, it would just be...
Leah: Limeade.
Carl: Just be limeade, all right.
Leah: Two more to go. I'm not fastest lime squeezer.
Carl: Okay, but it's going to be worth it, believe me.
Leah: Definitely.
Carl: All right. You got the little baby Patron bottles over there, just in case you need
on the go.
Leah: Oh, of course. Have to have one of those when you making this.
Carl: We'll get this over here for you, get it all ready to go.
Leah: Okay, last lime.
Carl: Very good.
Leah: What's next?
Carl: What's next is the liquor.
Leah: Okay.
Carl: So, we got our shot glass.
Leah: How many shots of Patron?
Carl: Two shots of Patron.
Leah: Two shots of Patron.
Carl: Of course if you like it a little stronger, three shots. We'll start with two shots.
Leah: Yeah, two shots is good for me.
Carl: Mine's got two shots, it's okay.
Leah: Are you a three shot kind of guy?
Carl: I'm a three shot sort of guy.
Leah: Yeah.
Carl: Tastes good though. Two, all right. Next, we're going to do some Citronage.
Leah: Awesome, love it.
Carl: It's like a Triple Sec but it's a lot better.
Leah: How much of this?
Carl: One shot.
Leah: One shot of this.
Carl: Maybe just a little less than a shot.
Leah: Okay, three quarters.
Carl: Like I change the recipe every, you know, every time we make it. There we go.
Leah: And it's still just as good!
Carl: Beautiful.
Leah: There we go.
Carl: Okay. Get rid of that. We do a half shot of...what is that?
Leah: Grand Marnier!
Carl: Grand Marnier.
Leah: Can't have it without this.
Carl: Well, you can have it without them but it's also expensive. How you doing with the
top there?
Leah: Just as good as I did with the limes. Just a couple. I like the four shot of Patron
kind of ones.
Carl: Wow, okay. Well maybe after we're done shooting this we can see them.
Leah: Okay.
Carl: Okay, so we have the half shot in there, and now what makes our margaritas different
is our special ingredient.
Leah: What's our special ingredient?
Carl: It's right over there next to you.
Leah: Fresca!
Carl: Hey, Fresca!
Leah: Who would have thought?
Carl: Now Fresca is sugar-free, it's citrus based...
Leah: Awesome.
Carl: And it's got bubbles in it.
Leah: Great!
Carl: Which gives a little effervescence to our drink and makes it completely different.
Leah: Awesome, sounds really good. How much of this?
Carl: Two shots.
Leah: Two shots of Fresca. Very fizzy.
Carl: Nice and fizzy. Very nice.
Leah: There we go.
Carl: I think I'm going to have to set this drink down here for a second. All right, put
the top on it.
Leah: All righty. Shake time?
Carl: Shake shake shake. My favorite part.
Leah: Favorite part is shaking?
Carl: I get the best seat in the house.
Leah: Make sure...oh! And the Fresca makes it pop, so be very careful that the top does
not come off.
Carl: All right, and while you're doing that, I'm going to reach across you here, and we're
going to take part of an old lime that we used to make the juice, and we're going to
rub around the outside of our lime -- of our margarita glass. And I'm going to put it in
a little bit of salt. Of course you don't have to use salt if you don't like it. The
big thing is we don't want salt on the inside of the glass.
Leah: Right, yeah.
Carl: Because the salt will change the flavor of our drink, so I just use a little bit of
Kosher salt or margarita salt to put around the outside. And I'm going to set that there
for you, and we're going to fill them out with ice.
Leah: Okay.
Carl: Since...are you done shaking? Probably shake one more time.
Leah: I love it when he's...
Carl: Everyone wants to make sure it's well shaken.
Leah: Very well shaken. All right.
Carl: All right, now I think its shaken.
Leah: Beautifully shaken.
Carl: Now we want some fresh ice in there.
Leah: Fresh ice, got it.
Carl: One at a time.
Leah: I like going slow.
Carl: Wow. How we doing, are we running out of ice?
Leah: That and we're pretty good.
Carl: All right, we want the garnish.
Leah: All right.
Carl: We already precut out the garnish, so we're cheating.
Leah: Just a little bit, there.
Carl: There you go.
Leah: Okay, and we're ready to pour it in.
Carl: And pour it in.
Leah: All right. Looks good, smells good too.
Carl: And we don't have a bunch of sugar based syrups in there. Got all natural limes in
there. Plenty of good tequila. Cheers.
Leah: Cheers!
Carl: Thanks for joining us for Conch Republic Bikini Cocktail Hour. We'll have another one
soon, watch out for our suits, our drinks, and enjoy living the Keys lifestyle. Cheers.
How is it?
Leah: Great!
Carl: Like it?
Leah: Very good.
Carl: Never had one that good before, have you?
Leah: I really haven't. Love it.
Carl: That was probably the first one. All right, Fresca. Cheers.
