Help Me Understand - Why I'd want a mid rail
A mid rail is a horizontal section of solid wood within the structure of your shutter
panel.
The mid rail can be both a structural requirement, to give strength to panels over a certain
height, and a design feature.
As a design feature, the mid rail can be used to cover up an unsightly part of the window
or to separate the run of slats in the panel. That way, you can move the slats at different
angles above and below the mid rail.
When ordering, we need to know the position you would like your mid rail located.
To get this dimension, measure from the bottom UP to the centre point of where you'd like
the mid rail to be located.
We should point out that this location can move slightly above or below this point to
fit in with the optimum design for your shutters.
