SeaDAS enables users to create new products with a projected Coordinate Reference System (CRS).
When the target product is generated from a single source file, the "Reprojection" tool is used.
Start SeaDAS, open T2005288185000.L2_LAC.
Go to Tools menu and select "Reprojection..." menu item.
The "Reprojection Dialog" has two tabs, "I/O Parameters" and "Reprojection Parameters".
In the I/O Parameters tab, the currently active product name, T2005288185000.L2_LAC, is listed as source product and T2005288185000.L2_LAC_reprojected as target product name.
By default, the reprojected product is saved as a BEAM-DIMAP file in a default output directory and set to open in SeaDAS when the reprojection operation is completed.
The user can change these setting to his/her preference.
In the Reprojection Parameters tab, the user can select a target CRS either from the custom CRS list or from the predefined CRS list.
Likewise, the user can also use the CRS of another product by checking the "Use CRS of" option.
The resolution of the target product can remain the same as the source product, or user can specify it by unchecking the "Preserve resolution" option and setting the "Output Parameters."
If "tie-point grids" are selected to be reprojected, they will not appear as tie-point grids in the target product anymore, but will appear as bands.
Finally, the user can set the value fo "No-data value" field, and select a "Resampling method".
The user can view the current set of parameters in the XML format using the "File" -> "Display Parameters" menu item of the "Reprojection" dialog.
Likewise, the user can save them for future use.
The saved XML file will be useful in preparing reprojection parameters for command line execution of the reprojection operation.
Click "Run". It can take several minutes, more or less depending on the size of the source and target producs, to produce and save the reprojected product.
When it is done, the reprojected product will be open in SeaDAS.
The user can view the new product band images in SeaDAS product browser.
