Well, in my case the work is a "continuum".
I believe the work always comes from "editing", from the montage
It can be a film, a collage of images,
it can be a work on space.
There is a decisive moment, which is the moment of editing,
I think a film is always made on the "editing".
If there’s no previous work, there is no "editing",
but the decisions are taken in the moment of the last cut.
Now, these projects have the possibility of being continued
and they have a first stage, or a second stage,
different phases...
which are different pauses that are taken in the work.
But I don’t think you can consider a work finished
because it can be retrieved and have a continuation.
The "continuums" of the works...
And there have been many works
that were presented in the 76 and then were retrieved
and had a continuity.
They are not works that became uninteresting.
I think they are like phenomenons that I don’t invent...
I invent nothing...
I am an observer of what happens in reality.
Maybe that helps organizing,
structuring, associating,
editing, assembling,
building what we could call personal construction
of things that exist and maybe
are intended to be seen in another way,
to be seen from the back, from underneath...
Maybe I have an ecologic view over images.
Sometimes we don’t have to make
what already exists, it can be seen in another way.
In the sense of... why to contribute with more images?
if the ones we have are already complex enough
to be decoded and seen in another way.
Sometimes, trying to show
the invisible is also the job of the artist.
Or that which is not seen,
what is hidden,
and is difficult to penetrate.
Trying to help reading the image
or rereading it is also important.
