Hey, Clint Schambach here again, Personal Trainer Chesterfield MO.
One of the things I have seen a lot in the recent past, is personal trainers just beating
up their clients just for the sake of making them tired. Which brings the question to mind,
are you training or working out with intensity, just for the sake of intensity.
It doesn’t even matter if they are personal training, or they are working out on their
own. You can see people just killing themselves in the gym, and it looks like they are doing
great, which they are in some respects. But after a few weeks, they look the same, or
very little improvement.
Many times this is due to the fact that there is no rhyme or reason to their workout structure.
They have been lead to believe that all they need to do is increase their heart rate, or
just completely tire themselves out.
This couldn’t be further form the truth. Just because you are completely beat when
you leave the gym, doesn’t mean you have actually accomplished anything. Yes, its better
than nothing, but there is a definite structure and science that when you apply it to your
workouts, yields a lot better and faster results. When you can workout certain muscle groups
in a certain order, you can give yourself quicker and better results, and many times
not feel as wiped out through out the day.
And more importantly, you can a lot of times reduce the time you spend in the gym, so you
have more time to spend on your personal life. Also, going too hard for too long in the gym
can wipe out the positive hormones that stimulate your muscle tone and weight loss. And wiping
out these hormones will all but stall your progress.
So be smart about your workout plan, don’t fall into the trap of just thinking you need
to go into the gym and beat the crap out of yourself to see any results
