Okay were going to talk about the man of steel but before we do that I want to talk a little
bit about Superman so Superman and I have never had the best relationship its more been
like I've seen all the movies when I was a kid I went and got the DVD collectors pack
of all the Superman movies and I watched them and I was never really big into it I just
found them kind of goofy I didn't really care for it I found them kind of boring and then
the straw that broke the camels back was a ... I will hurt people... ya I was just kind
of done with that scene but when I herd that Chris Noland and Zack Snider were making a
Superman movie I immediately started really paying attention to it and then I saw the
trailer...you have to keep this side of yourself a secret...what was I suppose to do just let
him die...maybe...I have so many questions where do I come from...That trailer was like
a mini short drama film to me I ate that up I don't even care if the movie is bad now
this trailer is amazing...So as that as a ground bases lets jump in to man of steel
and always Spoiler Alert the man of steel starts right off and it goes fast it almost
felt a bit to fast because it really felt like I was watching a TV show and this was
previously on Man of Steel Kal-el is born Zod invades Zod kills Jor-el Kal-el flies
away as Krypton explodes the Kents find Kal-el Clark finds his ship Clark is Superman Krypton
is way different than what it has ever looked like In the original Superman movies they
looked like giant green crystals and it was some kind of a rock looking place and it was
all crystallized in glass and beautiful utopia looking This one it looks everything is extremely
organic yet high tech it's a very different type of technology which I loved that Instead
of having TVs or anything to have a visual screen everything is using these little ball
bearings so all these ball bearings come together and create images and that is how they looked
at things so if you it almost looked as if there was 3-D Models popping up but it would
made out of these silver ball bearings and they would make this shape I feel as if the
writers may have been feeling like they were walking on hollow ground because they were
treating everything with as much respect as possible it feels like they were being extremely
careful It had the dept to it but it didn't make it to boring it had the action but it
didn't dumb it down just to remove your brain enjoy visuals and it had comedy and the comedy
is what I was worried about the most but the comedy was really good what they had in there
it wasn't making fun of Superman it wasn't making fun of America because we saw the humor
from the trailer...whats the S stand for..its not a S in my world it means hope...well here
it's a S how about...excuse me...and I thought that kind of humor maybe they would do some
kind of awkward humor you know with Superman where is your red underwear or something like
that or I don't like wearing blue you know I thought they would be making jokes but the
jokes were very appropriate and it didn't seem out of place for it even though that's
what I was worried about but they were pretty funny One of my favorite aspects of this whole
movie has to be Superman's character and maybe I just never picked it up from the old stuff
because I was to young to understand it and I just didn't pick it up but I always felt
that Superman was kind of shallow especially from watching the cartoon serious I just felt
like He's the man of steel and he's going to help people and you know he's perfect he's
an angel It just felt like they made him absoultly perfect and he doesn't have any flaws he doesn't
have any flaws of any kind I thought Even in charactor he was always perfect and Ioved
how they humonized him There was a scene where his father actknowledged that he may not grow
up to be a hero He may grow up to be a villian...You just have to decide what kind of man you want
to grow up to be Clark Who ever that man is he is going to change the world...and I loved
the idea Superman isn't naturally born perfect but he has to make a choice and you see over
his life they do this amazing little thing I loved in the movie when they kept on doing
flash backs through the whole film and you see how he is making choices to grow up into
the man that he is going to become as Superman.
