This viewer asks, "What is this molly that we've been hearing about so much on the news?"
Molly is a recreational drug known as MDMA, methamphetamine. It's also commonly referred
to as ecstasy, but it may have many other substances added into it. Many of the molly
pills, have a cartoon-like substance stamped on the front, so many people feel they aren't
actually taking drugs. The most adverse effect is a dangerously high increase in body temperature
and dehydration. Other adverse effects are memory loss. Can lead to anxiety and depression,
muscle tension, increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Forceful clenching of the
teeth is another side effect. To counteract this, many people will use a pacifier. So
you may have seen these on TV or some of the movies where grown children are using a pacifier.
That's the reason that they're using them. You wanna speak with your children about this
drug and that it is not a toy drug, but can lead to very, very strong consequences. Thanks
so much for your question.
