Hey what's going on, my name is marioKarrion from BanditoGaming, welcome to episode number
6 of The Week in Killzone
This is a really special week to me, for one single reason, one of my most anticipated
games this year is finally here, yes Killzone Mercenary is finally here
in the North American region.
Everybody else got it before us, but it's fine... what can you do? what I did though..
is I avoided all spoilers, that's what I did.
It really sucks when you have to wait this long to get a game you really want to play,
but hey that's the way it is.
So today after picking up my copy, I had the chance to play all three game modes available
in the game, I jumped, first, on a game of Guerilla Warfare and then some Guerrilla Mercenary
and finally some Warzone.
So far the maps are totally crazy and confusing, obviously, it's the first time I play the
full game, so I clearly don't expect to perform well at all, but there's one thing I can tell
you for sure... Guerrilla Cambridge needs to fix the random spawn points, I don't see
why this shouldn't or couldn't be fixed, the number of players is really low and the maps
are not small, I really hope they fix it sooner than later otherwise people will start to
quit playing the game.
Anyways, earlier I said I avoided spoilers, what I didn't avoid was the game reviews.
I never buy a game based on reviews, I like to give my vote of confidence to the developers,
their trailers, blog posts and all the marketing surrounding the product. Of course, I've bought
awful games thinking they will be great and I've been disappointed before, but I don't
like using reviews to guide my purchases.
I'm a Killzone fanboy, I like everything Killzone, and this game is not the exception, yes, the
controls are odd in the beginning and sometimes you keep on dying over and over and over and
over again;
But what I've been noticing in the reviews, which range from 5 to 10 is that they are
really different, to me it looks like the people giving scores really low... expected
something else, something comparable to your Killzone on the PS3, for example, and to me,
I don't think you should be looking at Killzone Mercenary like that, the PS Vita and the Playstation
3, are two different beasts.
You can expect something like Killzone 3 on the Playstation Vita, and that something will
be called Killzone Mercenary, but that's it, although the feeling of the franchise, the
intensity and the frustration is still there, which I really enjoy.... don't think you will
get a Killzone 2 or 3 on the PS vita, because you won't, and hey by no means I'm saying
Killzone Mercenary is bad, I'm just saying it's something else, something that is fun
to play and... sadly will make your hands tired sooner than any other Killzone, but
that's more a PS Vita problem no the game's
And after saying that, I will definitely continue playing the game, making some weapon reviews,
multiplayer tactics and for the first ever some funny loadouts, because the game is worth
my attention, and another thing I will be doing for the first time ever, I will put
a up a video game walkthrough on my channel, well, a live
commentary/walkthrough of Killzone Mercenary
I will bring you some Killzone Mercenary multiplayer tactics soon, don't worry I got you covered
and fellow comrades, this is it for me for know, did you get Killzone Mercenary? I hope
did, also, recall there's a new PS Vita and the old vita is cheaper.
So guys my name is marioKarrion. Thank you for listening. I will talk to you later.
Take care.
