Ok. Now, that the lug is attached. You're going to take your mug and you're going to
hold it somewhat upside down like this. Get your hand very wet. Get this very wet. And,
then you're going to start gently pinching and pulling. This is a very slow process.
You want to do it gradually. You want to do it from all angles. I like to put a groove
down the middle. A place for you to put your thumb when you're holding the mug. So, I do
that with my thumb. But, then I turn my hand around several different directions to make
sure that I'm getting a really even and consistent handle. Keep it really wet. Keep it lubricated.
If you get any friction, you might accidentally pull a piece off. Inevitably, that will happen
to you you're first time. It's part of the learning process of pulling a handle. And,
you just keep going until you've got it the length and thickness that you want. Almost
there. Ok. Now, once it's there you take the mug and you turn it right side up. You hold
up the corner and then you push the base right there to where you scoured. Cut off with your
finger, the bottom of it. And, then smooth it in. And, now you can do any finish smoothing
to the top part that you need to do to make it look just like you want. And, you can shape
it into its final shape.
