MEGAN: I've been able to take on a lot of different responsibilities
other than what is just in my job description
and that's opened the door to many other possibilities within student affairs,
whether it's been advising a Greek organization,
or helping direct our National Coalition Building Institute affiliate team
at the University of Georgia I have felt so
challenged professionally. KATHRYN: I'VE also
learned that I have a lot to offer my colleagues
and my colleagues have a lot to boost my intelligence in the field and
I've also learned that I like
being in an environment that's supportive. NYERERE: What I've learned about myself
professionally is that I can do more than I ever thought I could.
When I first came here I thought I'd be here for two, three, maybe even four years,
and then I'd be on to my next position.
Well, again, as I mentioned earlier, seven years later and I'm still here.
So, I've learned that I'm very confident and that's in no small part
because of University Housing,
and because of the people here that have helped me. DEMARCUS: Not only are you
pushed and challenge unconsciously to do your best within your position within
this department, but you also are pushed
and guided in a very mentorship way
that you make sure you do your best on the personal side to make sure that you
fulfilling
and being the person that you need to be.
