I think the first one is pocket your ego. Get rid of it.
Let your real light shine.
The second one would be feed your hunger. Feed your quest.
To achieve something for yourself.
Be as hungry as you can. [Can you take that a little bit further.]
Hunger for me is a student that is excited by what they are achieving.
In whatever field that might be. So that the motivation comes from ...
... not sucking up for HDs, but from a genuine learning and excitement about learning for its own sake, because I see ...
... their knowledge as power, and power is going to take them through life.
And that knowledge will become employable.
I think the third advice would be about spirit - that we as a community of learners ...
... can rise to the occasion where we are open, warm, welcoming and inviting of each other.
That we do have a common bond with other human beings.
The spirit of mankind and all that comes with it that I can reach out to somebody in this school ...
... or I can reach out to somebody across the world.
That we do have a commonality, and that commonality, once we find it ...
... gives us the confidence to move freely globally.
So, it is that link I think that will take us away from university.
We'll go through it, and take us out into the world, and we can start reading the world as it is, and coping.
So, the third thing is be open in spirit, be big in spirit.
Not hiding in the reverse of all that, the closing down.
