Tangrams originated in China. Not much is known about the origins of tangrams. The earliest
record of tangrams goes back to the early eighteen hundreds. British merchants brought
the puzzle west and it became very popular in Europe. It was even popular enough to have
a spoof written about it. In nineteen o' three, Samuel Lloyd wrote a spoof called 'The Eighth
Book of Tan'. And, it talked about the origins of tangrams. Origins of course, that were
made up by him. It is said, that Napoleon liked to play tangrams as well as the author
Lewis Carroll. And, now you. The good thing about tangrams, is that it utilizes both the
right brain and the left brain to analyze these shapes and put them into forms.
