from onemorecupof-coffee.com.
Nathaniel: Hi! My name is Nathaniel and this is another
Two Minute Tips with One More Cup of Coffee.
Today we're gonna take a look at how to get a clear background for your image.
So for example, I like this RSS image but it's got a white background.
So I wanna make it clear. So what we're gonna do is first, we are
going to create our clear background.
Got to go to file, new, advanced options,
transparency, okay, then basically, all we need to do is get our image over there.
So at first, we're gonna need to select the areas of the image we want.
Then I'm gonna shrink that by one pixel just so I don't get any white
background, just control and see the copy
and we're gonna paste it in there and then move it up and anchor layer and there we go.
We got our RSS icon on a clear background.
Now, moving the shadow here is going to be a little bit more difficult.
I think it would be easier just to create a new shadow here but that's a different
technique for a different video.
One last thing you might wanna do is shrink this clear background to the size
of the RSS icon in which case, we're going to undo the paste layer, going to image
and auto crop image and there we go. Then we can anchor layer and we've got
a nice clear background icon there.
So, I hope you found the tip useful. Don't forget to check out the website at
