Hello and welcome to the next Seafight Podcast!
Some of the team recently visited the Maritime Museum in Hamburg
and had a guided tour of the latest exhibition.
This inspired the team for future designs
and confirmed to us that many of the game mechanics and in-game items in Seafight
are very realistic representations of centuries of sailing history.
This especially includes all essential sailing equipment like sails and rigging
as well as the various types of weaponry used such as cannons and harpoons.
Not forgetting the all-important logbook.
Now we're back at the office where we invited our game designers and producer
to tell you a bit about the upcoming features and what we have planned in the upcoming weeks and months.
Hi Pirates, we're today here to talk to you about the new features we have in store and which we are currently working on
and I would like to start the round with a real cracker!
So what we are going to is that we are going to strip the stats from the ship designs
which means you have the ship designs as raw material
and you will be able to craft it into what you currently need.
For example, you will be able to attach attack stats or defensive stats to your ship design if you need it for a special occasion.
That's the biggest one we're currently working on.
Another feature we are currently working on is the Marauder's event.
During that event you can acquire certain achievements by doing special tasks and these give you Battle Points.
Also you can become a Marauder by picking up a certain item.
If you do so, you can get extra Battle Points by sinking other players.
But you also do get Battle Points for shooting down the Marauders.
On the one hand you become the hunter, on the other hand you also become the hunted.
One of the features I am currently working on is the Guild Diplomacy System.
This system will provide you on the website with tools to organize your guild,
form alliances, non-aggressive pacts and to declare war.
On the client side it will provide you guys with the ability to distinguish between friend and foe
and make it easier to have epic battles on the Seafight seas.
Another thing from your wish-list was that we rework the Clash event.
And we're going to do it in a way that there are going to be winners every day
and there are going to be more winners at the end of the event.
So there is not just one person who wins the event.
As you can see there are some really great updates coming in the not too distant future.
That's it for today. We hope you enjoyed our podcast, and to see you next time.
Until then.
