Hey, Guy Cochran, here today, and we're inside of our new studio, and we're
trying out something kind of cool. We're trying out a real-time green
screen option. Now for those of you that are familiar with our site, you've
probably seen Reflecmedia in use, and that's all that's going on behind
me. I can turn down the dimmer, and you can see that it's basically just a
big curtain here. Got my trusty MacBook down here. Actually what I'm doing
is I'm feeding the MacBook out into a real-time HD mixer switcher which,
actually if I fire up this camera over here, we might be able to get a
quick glimpse of the HD mixer/switcher. Let's see if I can actually do this
in real-time while you guys are taking a look at the word of the day,
caudillo. How do you say that?
Let's see what happens if we go to number three. You can see what's going
on here. We've got this HD mixer/switcher, and you can see that as we cut
back and forth we can jump from one camera to the other. So there's the
camera with the green screen, and now I want to put me back in there and
key me. I'm going to go back to the computer here. So, basically, you can
see that it's a pretty intense setup, and the reason why we've invested so
much money into this, is because I really want to be able to do some online
training and show you guys some cool stuff and answer some questions on the
forums and whatnot.
So here's kind of how it will work. Right now I've got Keynote loaded and
I'm really kind of jazzed on Keynote right now because it has slick, real-
time transitions and because there's really no load on the computer while
we're doing this. I'm just taking the DVI output, and the computer is just
not stressing at all. It's just acting like its regular self. We've got
another computer that's doing the capture. It's got a AJA Kona card, and
it's taking the output at the mixer, and it's actually the one that's doing
the heavy lifting. Actually, the real-time hardware here is what's doing
the heavy lifting with this composite here, so it's pretty amazing.
The cool thing is that I can use this remote control and do [inaudible
02:35] like this. Man, I'm going to have to bleep that out. Hoping to spend
very little time in post. The quicker that we can turn around these shows,
the quicker that we can get relevant, updated information out to you. So,
that's going to be it for this one. Thanks for watching.
