On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Allison at Western Art Glass. In this step
I'm going to be showing you how to cut your paper pattern apart and put it on the glass
and cut the glass. So check it out. First thing we are going to do we are going to get
those oil pattern shears. These are available from your local stain glass supplier. They
are kind of tricky to work with they are not your regular scissors. So they are going to
cut out the groove, the foil and what the basically does is you are cutting out the
black line. So you come into the pattern, cut and you pull out. In pulling out you can
see that it took that little space out right there. If it is not the straightest line it
took something out so don't think you need to cut the black line out exactly. That is
what you want to do but it can be a little bit tricky. So once you cut that is the done
deal. You want to take it slow go in. It is a little tricky to work with so you have to
take it slow. You have to be patient working with glass it would show at the end. So anyway
on the next step I'm going to show you how to apply all those pattern pieces to the glass
and start cutting glass. So check it out.
