Okay, now we are ready to make the pocket to go on the apron. You can either use two
rectangle pieces of material that are the same size, or you can take one piece about
yay big, you want to make sure it's going to fit on your apron. And the way I'm setting
it on there, you'll need it to be able to fit either here, and it will be smaller but
so will the apron, or you can put it down here. But you want to make sure that it doesn't
go too far to the sides or it will look kind of funny. If you are using one piece of material
it's kind of nice because you only need to sew it around three edges. I usually just
start up on one side, and I sew about 1/2" from the side on these. Make sure you pivot
at the corner and you will want to make sure that you allow an opening to reverse it. So
what I'm going to do is I'm going to go about half way up this side, I'm going to reverse
to hold that stitch, and then I'm going to just lift my foot and slide it up, and do
the same thing. Make sure I secure my stitch there and sew the rest of the way up. And
the reason I do it in the middle of nowhere like that, is because then when you reverse
it, you don't even have to stitch that spot closed separately.
