Ever been to a costume party? What to wear on a blind date. This is Dr. Paul, author
of Boomer Girls: A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating and author of Ask Dr. Paul
and host of the Ask Dr. Paul show. Now, you're going to ask yourself: "I've got a blind date.
What do I wear on a blind date?" Please don't do this, okay? I had a call from a man --
ladies, listen carefully -- and he said, "I was told about how classy this woman was,
okay? And so my friend said, "You should see this person and arrange for a blind date.""
Now, this is a professional person, and he met the woman in question, who, coincidentally,
is also a professional person, although by the way she was dressed, you would wonder
what profession that she was in -- perhaps the world's oldest profession, from what he
said. Apparently, she had a very short denim skirt on. They were going to a...I would say
a good, average-level restaurant. She had a very low-cut blouse on, and she had heels
on. And he said he wasn't sure if this was a joke or if he had been set up with a escort
or call girl. He never saw her again. So on a blind date, the best suggestion I can make
to you is be somewhat conservative. Be somewhat moderate. Find out what the other person likes.
I mean, if you have great legs, wonderful. They'll see them later, okay? You don't have
to give the knockout punch right up front. And guys, don't go in like, you know, Mr.
Macho Man and look like all the other guys because it won't be appreciated. So what to
wear on a blind date -- wear something moderate. That's the best advice Dr. Paul can give you.
This is Dr. Paul. May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow.
