Hi, I'm Mike Yublosky from A-BnC Parties and More. Today we are going to show you how to
make a do it yourself July 4th centerpiece. The centerpiece is made with our clear flexible
plastic tubes. These tubes add height and brilliant splashes of color without much weight.
Supplies you will need for each July 4th centerpiece include: A 12” by 12” piece of 1-1/2”
thick styrofoam; Three pieces of our 1-2/3” clear flexible
plastic tubes, cut into 16” 20” and 24” lengths; Some red, silver and blue shred;
Three 1” thick styrofoam discs cut into 4” diameters,as well as the two sizes of
American flags; You will also need six mylar paper poofs,two
of each color red, silver and blue; as well as red and blue curling ribbon the same width
as the styrofoam.
Additional supplies or tools include: Silver paint good on styrofoam, straight pins to
secure the ribbon, a low temperature glue gun with glue sticks and a small level.
First we painted the styrofoam pieces silver and let them dry. Next we inserted the tubes
into the large piece of styrofoam and glued with a low temperature glue gun. We used a
level to make sure the tubes were vertical. Also let dry. We filled the tubes with shred.
Then we opened and inserted the mylar paper poofs into the base, glued the 4” disks
to the tops of the flexible plastic tubes, pinned the ribbon around the styrofoam and
lastly inserted and glued the flags. Balloons can also be added for additional color and
height!
