Alright, now I want to do a beat from a song we made called "Jonny Boy". And the reason
I picked this beat is because I start the song out with drums alone, and I start the
beat on my second rack tom, and that beat follows through with the verse for the rest
of the song. And I picked it because it's very interesting because you don't hear it
a lot, not a lot of beats, start on the toms, and then I go from the rack tom and when it
comes into the second part of the verse I go into an actual, like, just a regular beat.
So, I'll go ahead and start that for you now. This is the beat to "Jonny Boy". I'll start
that over, my snares were off, so I'll go right from, right after...okay, so take two,
this is the beat to "Jonny Boy". And one thing I want to point out right there, something
that I just personally like to do a lot, most of the fills you see are front to back, from
high to low, I like to just change things up a lot and I like to do a lot of reverse
fills, just because it's something you're not used to hearing. So once again I'll play
this a little bit slower. When I go into the beat, I start in from the bottom and work
my way progressively higher, so it sounds something like this.
