Welcome to this tutorial about creating your member's profile.
On signing in for free, you've provided some basic information that will allow you to log on
to Tourist World Pros.
If you check your public profile, you'll see that now your prospects know very little about you and, therefore,
it's unlikely that they want to hire your services: they didn't even know what you do!
A complete and attractive user profile is your best tool to get new customers, so don't leave it empty any longer!
Start by filling the section regarding your personal data.
Although it is not mandatory, inserting an image, either your company logo, or a photo, makes your profile
less cold and impersonal.
A good picture that you have on your hard drive will be fine in GIF, JPG or PNG format.
No need for it to be very large, because it will be automatically reduced, without deformation,
to a maximum of 120 pixels height or width.
The only essential information that you have not filled in this section is your postal address.
However, if you don't want to disclose this data, you can click on the padlock next to it to close it.
Whenever you see the padlock icon next to an item, you can open or close it depending on whether you want
the data to be public or private.
Also, if you are a Pro member, you can enter your personal website and, if you don't have one,
your Pro membership lets you create one, without knowing anything about programming, in a few steps
and without having to pay more, neither for creating it nor because your customers directly access it.
There's no need to follow the strict order, so you can move on to the other sections to fill essential data first,
such as the languages you speak and your proficiency
(you chose the main one when you signed in, but maybe you speak others).
If you make a mistake and want to delete one, simply click on it.
It's also essential that you choose in this list at least one place in your home country where your business
takes place, but of course you can specify several.
If you don't find a certain one in the list, you just have to click this icon to add it in, but since this means
you would stop editing the profile, its better to not get distracted for now and to finish entering
the most important data.
Note that you can return to your profile and change your information at any time.
Scrolling to the bottom of this page, you will also find other important data:
the list of services you carry out, by groups.
Depending on your type of membership, you can mark services in all the groups you want
or your options will be restricted to a certain group of services.
Although is not essential, it is advisable to go to the "Business information" section and enter
your basic rate.
It is important information for your future clients, but it is for reference only, because later you can enter
specific rates for your various activities and, of course, reach different economic agreements based
on the characteristics of each customer.
We recommend that you enter the starting price below which you would not accept a job under
any circumstances.
Well, you've entered a lot of data, but keep in mind that it has not been saved.
To do this, you have to press the "Modify" button at the bottom of each section.
In fact, it's good to get used to press "Modify" every time you enter any data, to make sure it is saved, although
if you forget about it and try to jump to any other place in the application, we will remind you to save it.
The member profile allows you to enter lots of information, such as pictures,
documents,
or even keep a calendar with your activities.
We'll leave you to explore on your own the many possibilities it offers.
It won't be difficult, and if in doubt you will always have the help information on the screen.
But before finishing, we want to talk to you about two very useful details that should always be present
in your profile.
The first, in your personal data, is a slogan, a sentence that identifies you.
We recommend you create one for every language you speak, that will be the ones appearing in the list
(if you miss any language you speak, you know how to add it in the "Professional data" section).
Remember to click this icon after entering each slogan.
If you'd want to change one, you just have to delete and re-enter it.
The other important data, this time inside your "Business information" is a presentation text
(that you should also enter in all the languages you speak), both in its short version
as well as a full version.
Being a much larger text, we recommend that you write it calmly with a word processor and, once checked,
copy it and paste it.
After entering each language version, you have to press the "Modify" button to save it.
As this text is longer, if you want to change it you can click this icon
which returns its contents to the editing area so you can change it back easily and re-save it.
You already have a long enough profile, which you can continue completing and improving.
With this your customers know who you are, but it is also very important that you define specifically what you do.
