Hi guys, John here with Real Truck.com. Today, I want to show you how to install the Rhino
Rack Aero Topper Rack onto this Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ready to start putting our mounts
on. One of the things that we want to look at here is these mounts come with these big
locking blocks on here. These blocks do not fit what we want to do because we want to
use our kit and we'll take one of these which fits in here really nice and it will tighten
down nice. We'll attach that onto here. The way we do that is we take one of these and
these actually sit down right on top of here. We put this on here just like that. We'll
take this which is going to be our lock down block. You can put this on two different ways,
but you don't want it to go that way where it's tight on both sides. You want it go like
this because that's what you need in order for it to slide into the crossbar. Then we'll
take and we'll put it up through the bottom here.
One of the things you want to make sure you do when you're attaching your bar fit kit
to the bottoms or tops of your mount legs, make sure that you see here the hardware that
we'd taken off of our legs? Make sure that we use the big washers that were originally
on there to put back onto these so you have it set up like this. Basically what you're
going to have is you're going to have your bolt, a lock washer, and then your larger
flat washer and then your really big flat washer. Then we'll attach that to our leg
and our fit kit so that way it'll hold it more securely.
We've got our mounting brackets here so what we're going to do is we're going to install
these up here onto the factory roof rack. As you guys can see, these are really pretty
simple to install.
Alright, we've got our legs for mounting our cross bars. If you look at the bottom of these
you can see there's a bunch of little drop down kind of studs, if you will on there.
You can see also on top of your mounting bracket that there's slots for those so that you can
actually set this into those and put your bolt through in here to bolt this down.
We've got this rear one adjusted. Got it so it's set even on both sides. Now we just need
to tighten it up here. Got that all tightened up. We'll pop our end cap back on after storing
our measuring stick in there and that's it guys. That's all there is to it to install
these Rhino Rack Aero Topper Rack onto your vehicle. Remember, until next time, happy
motoring.
