one of the most common mistakes that we see
for Social Security disability appeals is that an individual does
not appeal the determinations on time
what happens is that when they get that initial decision
they only have sixty days in which to submit
what's called a request for reconsideration or if they've been
denied at that stage
a request for hearing that sixty-day window is one the most common mistakes
that we see that individuals because of the paperwork
because maybe not understanding what social security is saying to them
either failed to do it or they fail to do it on time
and the result is that social security unless you have an attorney
Social Security will really require that person
to go back to the start and initiate the process
