If you've seen my other Suunto Ambit 2 videos you'll know that I love my watch. I'm sure
that lots of other people out there also love their Ambit 2, so I just thought I'd throw
this idea out there. Unfortunately no one in the world is making Ambit 2 screen protectors
professionally, so I've gone out and made my own ones. All you have to do is buy a cell
phone screen protector, and you can actually make at least 4 or 5 Ambit 2 screen protectors
by just cutting them out with a pair of scissors. I bought that screen protector for $2.50 from
this little phone shop over here that you can see. I've crossed the road here on Romblom Island and this cell
phone repair man is cutting out a screen protector for me, and the face of the Ambit 2 is about
37mm. Because the ambit 2 has such a completely flat face, its quite easy to stick your screen
protector onto the watch it fits perfectly. But it wont last forever, It will last about
2 months I've found, even in heavy rain and lots of hiking in rough conditions. But all
you have to do is just cut out a new one and replace it, very simple very easy. And why
not keep the beautiful face of your ambit 2 completely scratch free. Just thought I'd
throw this idea out there today for all you ambit 2 enthusiasts.
I think the most important for making a circular screen protector like the man is here with the scissors, is
when you make the first circle deliberately cut it too big. Here you can see that the
screen protector is still too big for the watch but now the next step is to just cut
off a little bit more and a little bit more until its just right.
And theres the longitude and latitude position of the mans shop on Romblom Island in the Philippines
