Speaker 1: Summer school has helped me in the sense that it allowed me to explore the
UTS campus and explore what university life is like. It also allowed me to meet people
who had the same interests as me, so with those two combined it kind of gave me a little
taste of what going to UTS would be like, and it was really cool that way.
Speaker 2: For the next year, I hope to get into UTS and get into sound and music design
combined with international studies. By going to summer school and doing these workshops,
it really motivates me to get the ATAR that I want and hopefully Iíll be able to get
in. And itís really helped me to understand the pathways to get in in case I donít, so
Iím really motivated to go to university.
Speaker 3: I think summer school has opened up new doors for me, because back in the days,
I didnít know what I wanted to do ñ I just know that I wanted to go to uni but I was
really scared of how thatís going to be like. Summer school has helped me to achieve my
goals by being more organised, having a routine, meeting new people and getting the confidence
to meet new people. As well, now that Iím studying business and international at UTS
summer school, it has opened new doors for me. I already know some of the people thatís
attending UTS already, so Iím already at home and Iím already part of the UTS community.
Speaker 4: Summer school has helped me a lot. It has pushed my limits. The fact that I picked
real design, real creativity, has taught me that I could do something that I donít usually
do.
Speaker 5: Summer school encouraged me to definitely pursue a higher education. Iím
currently here at UTS in my first year of global studies. At summer school, I met a
very wide range of people from different backgrounds, and that has led me to want to pursue that
on a broader level.
Speaker 6: Summer schoolís helped me find out what itís like to be in the university
campus, because itís completely different to high school with everything ñ itís so
much bigger, thereís so many more people, and itís given me an insight of what life
is going to be like in the future.
Speaker 7: Summer school has also helped me, it helps me with stress management and transitioning
from junior high school life to senior high school life, and I believe my experience in
this course is also going to help me transition to university life as well.
Speaker 8: I do think summer school has helped me pick the career path I wanted to do, which
was teaching, because it did give me an idea of what uni would be like.
Speaker 9: University, for me, before I went to this summer school, was this stressful
place where you just had to learn to get a job, but this is not the case. What I saw
was people having fun and enjoying university, and I think that has changed my view.
