congressman u_s_ congressman francisco ken sekolah texas congressman says he
was assaulted during a t s a pat down and i can't wait to get lewis's reaction
to this one he says the security agent went too far during a pack down earlier
this month saying the agent was very aggressive in the pack down use patting
me down where no one is supposed to go it got very uncomfortable so i moved his
hand away that stopped everything and brought in supervisors and everyone else
so apparently went conseco push the hand away the t_s_ agent indicated
he had been assaulted
bike and seiko another with the act of pushing the hand away was an assault in
the end neither one of these guys were cited for any yeah i think people use
the
use the term assault a little too liberally work it maybe he's using the
legal uh... using the legal sense a week a later though here's the interesting
part we got the distance that i'm going to san antonio international airport
conseco is once again selected for a pat down and he said
i don't see it as a coincidence i asked them why you're going to patni down
again so we discussed that further after discussing it further they patted me
down however before it was over san antonio police officers were called to
the sec point to the security checkpoint area
nobody cited
and um... that's what it is the p_s_a_ saying hey we have unpredictable and
random security measures throughout the airport
once your in the screening process you have to complete it before continuing
anywhere else
looks like the patting down of people he's not bothered by it permanently and
i liked it and said i was involved like you know about it but you'll be like in
the sense that you believe that for example if you don't have down at six
year old baby's diaper
ferris will start actually loading up the diaper with explosives for example
i think it's a possibility
so do you think the p_s_a_ procedures
make you feel safe
do they make they make me feel a lot safer than if they were not in place at
all if they weren't so what what you're saying is that
the security that we have makes you feel safer than if there were absolutely no
security at all
for such a pretty low standard for each security measure you take away
i think most people would feel let's say do you uh... what do you think of that
time
is it that there is a direct correlation like that the number of security
measures you have
increases safety indirect proportion
perceived safety perceived safety bullets hard to say because unless we
have
statistics others say
how effective this is
um... like louis is saying if you have something in place for a long time and
you take away people's say are they took it away for now i can get away with that
so a really depends on how effective these techniques are
and whether we're doing everything we can to find better ways not just they
are you know what that reminds me of that was earlier sailors are we are you
saying a lot of we are getting more more evidence that uh...
it's hearsay
is not really working all that well we are getting their letters but what what
the todd's saying which is at any time once you add a security measure if you
ever take it away
pete you people feel less safe it and or
it appears that the situation is david that's just something else people can
now do this is the same thing is that remember the color coded terrorist
threat level where once we got to elevated
we can never go down from elevated because that's when the terrorist with a
hey they're not paying attention we're no longer elevated let's try core people
will say ally don't feel safe if you get the government doesn't think work
elevated
then a lot of things could slip by it's that same does vicious circular
conundrum
younger so i don't think it's a matter of group
getting rid of
security measures i think it's just a matter of changing them
yeah and we've talked about that extensively rent will go into it now
do you think that given that so many congressmen and and other politicians
have been very angry about pat downs they receive you think the reason
they're not making a bigger stink about it is because were an election year they
don't want to drop
what could be negative attention to themselves
uh... i'm sure some people
that'd be the reason
at least in some people don't get why i mean we can't definitively say that but
we certainly can it it's got to be in the back of a few reminds after the
regular show and there's a whole other show called the bonus show that we do
and it's only available david packard show members today on that particular
show we'll talk about
yet another n_f_l_ player committing suicide will also talk about a new drug
for alcoholism it was initially not developed to treat that which is also a
fascinating a part of the story
and they were also some interesting *** traps found on a popular utah
hiking trail were here from lou is whether he's ever set
for fall into any of those trapped back after this david and michelle
david packed with dot com
