We recommend 100% rag or heavy papers for best results. For most other printing applications,
construction paper, drawing paper, charcoal paper, pastel paper, most board items except
railroad board and cover stock will work well. Water Soluble inks can also be used on wood
or masonite if first coated with an acrylic emulsion base coat such as Speedball® Gesso.
Avoid slick coated, high gloss, vinyl or plastic coated papers.
Ink will remain water-soluble after drying. To achieve water-resistance, use an acrylic
spray fixative or a solvent-based varnish as a topcoat.
All Speedball inks have “No Odor, are AP Non-Toxic, Non-flammable, contain no solvents
and can be screen printed or painted on with brush and clean up easily with water.
