Look at this 8 inch Smartparts Picture Frame. Wi-Fi enabled, high resolution
and a couple features that make it a little more than just your basic picture frame.
It is an 8 inch LCD, with an 800 by 600 resolution, it's a very nice resolution for
digital picture frames. It's going to handle SD, Memory Stick, MMC, xD, CompactFlash
and any USB storage devices you can throw at it. It does include an IR remote,
right here, and it actually has Wi-Fi built in so it does have wireless 'g' on board.
Now, what sets this one apart, is that it's directly integrated into the Windows Live,
Frame it Platform. Which means you're going to be able to get rich information,
such as what we're looking at right here. Weather reports, sports reports,
and your Windows Live pictures, all available directly on the LCD.
The other thing that's really really cool about this particular picture frame,
is that you can actually email pictures, directly to it. So, let's say you have mom, or grandma
at home, and you give them this digital picture frame as a gift, each frame actually has
it's own individual email address. Allowing you to email your photos directly to the frame,
and have them show up immediately on the screen of whoever you're sending it to.
Which is actually really really cool. And, just for safety purposes, you can set up,
Buddy Lists on the frame as well, so that you only see pictures from pre-approved parties,
so grandma doesn't have to worry about getting any of that shady spam,
you know... Mail, you know what I'm talking about. Grandma doesn't have to worry about that
showing up on her picture frame. Only the pictures of you and your family will be showing up
Now, the Windows Live Frame It thing, is very cool because it allows you to send all kinds
of different information, to the frame, from your Windows Live account.
Now let me show you, you can do music, you can do photos, and if you look at this email section,
you can actually even read and see, the various email attachments that come to the individual
email address that is assigned to this picture frame.
It's got a really nice wooden finish on the outside, it does have that 'plasticy'
sort of feel to it. On the back you see it does have a stand which can be rotated into portrait,
or landscape modes. Up here are the buttons you use to navigate the menu system.
You have a menu exit button, you have a Forway directional button an Ok button and a power button
at the top there. Over on the side, is where you're going to find all of your memory slots,
CompactFlash, your Multi Card reader right here and 2 USB ports. This can be directly connected to
a USB port and can be directly connected to your computer. It's got 512 megabytes
of internal memory built in, so you're going to be able to transfer pictures to the internal memory,
without having to use external SD or CompactFlash slots, but it is expandable,
so you'll be able to use all of the various formats that are out there,
with this picture frame. Of course you can also use the wireless 'g' that's built into it,
to stream photos wirelessly from Windows Live and from email as well. So,
its a very advanced little picture frame, nice size, and a really really high resolution,
making it really really easy to use.Especially for people who aren't necessarily very technological
being able to email pictures directly to the frame is very very cool.
So, if you're in the market for a slightly cooler picture frame than everybody else has,
this would be one to check out. It's the Smartparts 8 inch Wi-Fi frame.
