And we're here to talk about something
that we talk to our clients
a lot about
Really driving your focus
to place that your audience is at
So let me explain what
that means because that may have not made sense
So basically we're just talking about
paying attention to where your audience is at now
There's so many different types of advertising that you
can do
More of the traditional side with billboards, direct mail
Now it's gearing towards social, so
At a time where things are changing so much
it's important to really think about
your market and where your customers are now.
We want to talk about taking a hard look at
where you are spending your money
in your advertising
And then take another hard look at where your audience and your customers are spending their time
and attention.
Because they may or may not match up.
Now we're not saying that there is no value in things like
billboards or TV or radio, but we are saying that
there has been a technological shift
where people are more on things like Facebook
and Instagram and that's where you guys should
really be investing your time.
We want to give you a practical
2 practical ways to really move
your attention, and your money to places that are going to add value to your customer
We want to personalize the experience
for people mainly
And that is really thinking about who your audience is
And while they're paying attention
to really deliver value in that moment
And the 2nd thing is to bring value where
the users are
We haven't really dived into it yet, but
Snapchat is one of the places where we are seeing a lot of people
go to
I think that we're going to go into more depth about that
in a later episode, but...
That is something where you and your team
should be discussing how you can add value
to your customers on things like Snapchat
Or things like Instagram
And then like Kelsey said
Taking that platform and really personalizing it
to your business
In relation to...
the Internet and all of the social media activity
I feel like before it was kind of seen as something
just for young people
where now I feel like it's kind of shifting
Almost every mom I know now is on Facebook
Older people are using Snapchat and more and more people are getting involved with these things
So it's important to shift
Maybe that focus you have on how these things are for younger people
And really it could be for a lot of people
Rethinking who your audience is today.
Peoples time is really valuable so
If you have their time and their attention, that is so
much more valuable than
one impression from someone driving past a billboard.
Definitely maximize on that
Make sure that you're doing everything possible to
really be at the places that they (audience) are
Exactly!
