Nathan: Here we are with Panama Relocation Tours at our 2014 reunion. I have Sue who's
a new guest to the Panama Relocation Tours but she' ll be back very shortly she'll tell
you a little more herself. Sue, why don't you introduce yourself and let us know where
you're from?
Sue: Hi, I am Sue Dloughy and I currently live in Florida in Vera Beach, FL and I'm
here to see Panama.
Nathan: Great! So you have just taken the Panama Relocation Tour in February is that
correct?
Sue: Yes, that is correct.
Nathan: And this is your second time with us.
Sue: That's right
Nathan: What are your plans for the future?
Sue: Well I plan to come back again for maybe a 3-6 month time frame. Just to feel it out
and live here and see how I like it. I took two tours because on the first tour everything
to me was so brand new. It was a lot to take in. So I wanted to do a second tour just to
look at everything again more closely and I found it even more informative. I learned
more things. I saw a few more new places and I just can't say enough about it. How informative
it was and the people that you meet on the tour are very interesting people so I just
had a wonderful time.
Nathan: Great! Thank you for that! So in terms of information that you feel is relevant to
the relocation process, how do you think Jackie and the tour did in terms of preparing you
for the move?
Sue: Really excellent! I could of never done it myself. Just all of the places we have
been to. All of the information that we are given. Meeting with an attorney and just meeting
other people that have moved here and talked to them and see what kind of issues they might
Nathan: Excellent! And then in terms of cultural differences how do you feel that the tour
has helped to set realistic expectations for life going ahead in Panama? And kind of eliminate
the drastic cultural shocks that can happen when you move to a country in a different
stage of development?
Sue: I think first and foremost you really need to be a flexible person. You need to
go with the flow. You need to not get uptight about things. The attitude here is very stress
free. There are things that happen here that don't happen in the US as far as people don't
move as fast, people don't just get things done as quickly so you just need to take a
step back and relax.
Nathan: Great! And you feel the tour helped kind of tackle some of those major areas?
Sue: Very much so! Especially with all of the information that you get so you don't
have as many stumbling blocks. You know what you need to do in order to proceed with the
visa. Just all of the different drivers licenses and everything that you might need.
Nathan: Great! Do you have any advice just in general for everybody out there on the
internet that is watching this?
Sue: Anybody that wants to come you really owe it to yourself to come on this tour. It
takes you all over the country. Not just one place but several places so you can really
get the feel for what's available to you and what kind of a lifestyle you want to live
here because its all here.
Nathan:Well there you heard it everyone from Sue herself so check us out for 20142015.
Thank very much, Sue, we appreciate it!
