OK, now we're ready to put these together. For this step I do like to score and slip
them together, because I really want them very well connected. So I score the inner
top side of both of the small pieces. And then I'll take the large piece and score the
lower part. And now I'm going to set that on there. And I have this wooden knife. This
is a really common tool that you can find at your clay store. And I'm going to hold
these all together, compressing from all the directions and push that down. That gives
a really secure connection. I'll push it in from the sides. And because this knife has
a nice angle it keeps that same shape that I started with. And then I'll do the same
thing for the other handle.
Score the bottoms. Always get it a little bit wet for the scoring. I'll set it on top.
Compress everything. And then push it together with the wooden knife. And now our handles
are ready to put on the pot.
