A political analyst has expressed support
for the government's constitutional review.
The review has been instigated by the Maori Party and National.
But Willie Jackson says this shouldn't be carried out
by just the politicians, but by an independent group.
I still don't really know what the political process is these days.
It is far different to the time of the Royal Commission
which was the process some years ago.
If there were issues like this, a Royal Commission would be convened
to hear submissions and resolve the issue.
It is all new now for Maori.
But I hope this will fulfil the aspirations of Maori.
The members of the review team will be named next year.
