What is consent, and what are my rights about consent?
Informed consent means that you have to be given enough information to understand what's
being proposed, to make choices. So you have a right to participate in making decisions
about what healthcare you do want or you don't want. And you can't make those choices unless
you have the information in a way that you can understand. Voluntarily given. True informed
consent means that you understand, and that you're agreeing.
