So how are you today?
Good, how are you doing?
Very good. How are you liking New Orleans so far?
So far so good. We've been partying the past two days; we had two days off and it's been
Bourbon Street all day long.
Right, have you ever seen anything like that before?
Not like that exactly, but, yeah, it was fun. All the clubs and all that stuff. You can
smoke in bars and drink in the street. It's fun.
Awesome. So I saw on your Facebook that you're trying to record an album.
Yeah.
Your first full length.
Actually, the whole purpose of the tour is to push the Kickstarter for the band. We're going to have
a Kickstarter so we can get the money to basically fund the album. If things go well after we
record the album, hopefully we will shoot a video for it.
Right, and Al Jourgensen was going to help make the album, right?
Yes.
How did you get in touch with him?
Through our manager Rachel Martinez. She did great. Unfortunately, due to his time, scheduling,
and everything, and his band, he's like [I can't]. Hopefully it will happen, I'm not
sure about it. But we have Plan B all set to go.
So you got some other really awesome guys involved with the production...
Yeah, I mean, I don't want to name anybody, but hopefully, just like before, we have a
good crew. I think it will help us to bring the best quality, best sound possible.
Do you have a name for it yet?
The album? No, not yet. It's going to be a...we always try to do something different. So,
it's going to be a mix of the same Acrassicauda sound and some new stuff that we have...
I would say we haven't tapped before.
So, what is the band's legal status in America?
Basically we're all here as refugees. Some of us are entitled for citizenship already.
And we've been here five years. Basically, we just got to go apply and do the paperwork
and all that.
Do you ever want to...do you miss home? Do you ever want to go there again?
Big time. All of us, we do miss home. We wish we could get back. We still have parents and
family over there. Someday. All we can do is hope.
And in the last few years, all of the Middle East and much of the world has been going
through small revolutions, big revolutions, bloody revolutions.
Which is making it worse.
Definitely. Is any of your music that will be on the album about this kind of turmoil?
Definitely. But, as we all say, we are not political. We have nothing to do with politics.
We just say our opinion, and say what we think. Everybody is facing their own battles in life, and so are we.
It might sound political, but it's not. It's just us.
That's what we think, that's who we are.
Great. Is there anything else you'd like to say or talk about?
Well, I thank you very much. Thanks to everybody also; the fans for the support that we have.
It's great. Like, every town we hit is just...it keeps getting better and better. I mean, personally,
I love being on tour; I want to be on tour every day. If I could afford it, we would be on tour forever. Hopefully,
the album comes out, and I would like to thank [them] for all the support. And I appreciate
everybody that helped us and will help us to achieve our goal which is to have our debut album; our first album.
And rock on!
