Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I´m so glad to see you again.
Today we will draw a female figure as if she were on a rolled paper.
We start with some lines that indicate the tilt of the head,
so we don´t get the features crooked.
And then an oval which is a little bit slender on the bottom part.
This time I will go on my way up from the mouth,
then the nose, and then the eyes.
Then we sketch the shoulder, the arm and the hand.
We do the hair and then we start with the piece of paper!
Which will be rolled.
I will actually do it lower, so that the head is not complete.
And closer so that it looks like she is covering herself with the piece of paper.
Now let´s place a sheet on the drawing and trace it
so as to make a mask.
Ideally you would use some of those adhesive masks used for airbrushing
but if you don´t have one, you can make one like this.
Before I use it I will do some more detail.
For the hand the trick is making a general shape like if it had a mitten,
then marking the knuckles where the fingers bend
and then drawing the fingers.
And we do some shading.
Actually the only part of the girl that will have shading will be the hand.
Now we will employ a technique where we use some charcoal pencil on a separate paper
and we pick it up with a chamois leather rolled on the finger
and so we can achieve a fairly even surface pretty fast.
Now lets do it on our drawing.
Oh boy! I´m getting horrible stains because of greasy spots
as it looks like I touched the paper with my fingers or my hand
which is something you should not do when you are using this technique.
[ahhhhhh] What a terrible tutorial I´m giving you!
Let´s see if we can solve some of this fiasco.
I will try to erase these marks on the side
and extend the illusion of the paper
because on the white you can not see them.
Then I´ll try to erase the other marks and use this fixative over it
so that it covers and isolates the grease and I hope it doesn´t show again.
Ok, let´s try this again and I´m using the mask so as to protect the inside.
Ok. That is better.
Now we do the shadows of the paper that is rolled,
and we shade some folds in the corners
and some more shading to the hand and it is ready!
Please let me know in the comments if you think
this was the worst tutorial in the history of Youtube... or not.
