On this video, I'm showing you the backpack I've mentioned.
The sleeve, as weel as the backpack
were bought on the Apple Store online.
Buying these online was a bit difficult
because when you buy online, you see a photo
but you have little perception of the product's quality,
or even it's dimensions.
You might get an idea, but it’ll always leave you some doubts.
I had an idea, of course... This backpack is from Wenger,
Swissgear line, and Carbon model.
Since it’s a Wenger
I was expecting it to have good quality.
I liked the way it looked on the Apple Store
specially, I liked it’s colors,
so... decided to buy it.
When it arrived I was not disapointed, on the contrary
I was happily surprised!
The quality is excelent.
If you never heard about Wenger, they make lots of stuff,
being well known because of its Swiss Army knives.
Wenger is the official supplier of the Swiss Army.
They make bags, backpacks, luggage,
camping tents... they make lots of produts.
It’s product line is wide
and all the products have high quality standards.
Here we have a backpack
suitable to carry a 17 inch MacBook Pro
or a 15 inch one.
I can show you the pub leaflet that came with it.
Well, maybe not quite a leaflet, it's more like a brochure,
but made with a glossy rigid carton,
where you can see the backpack with the zippers closed
and also with the zippers opened to show it’s compartments.
Here you can see it was made for
the 15 inch MacBook Pro, and for the 17 inch, as well.
Wenger has got no backpacks specifically for the 15 inch model.
It has one for the 13 inch, and then one for the 15 and 17 inch.
They have this model, and other models, suitable for both Macs.
Ok, lets see the pockets, the zippers...
It has several pockets on the inside,
which is great to organize your stuff,
always knowing where things are, so you can find them quickly in the backpack.
The first compartment is large,
right here there’s a pocket, with a zipper
more pockets for credit cards, and such...
another one, with velcro, where you can have a lighter, pens, etc.
This is a hole for you to pass your headphones wire.
Inside the compartment there’s another hole
to the next compartment, where your headphones wire may also pass.
That other compartment was designed specifically for your gadgets
such as iPods ou cell phones.
As you can see this compartment is in a very accessible position,
and at the same time, it is well protected.
It was made to carry your most “sensitive” equipment.
Here’s a pocket with velcro, for a cell phone... an iPhone, for instance.
I can show you how the iPhone fits there.
And, it’s the same for the iPod, of course.
You can see it fits perfectly, leaving some room, useful
if you prefer not to put the iPhone directly in the pocket
but instead, wrap it with one of those gel cases
and after that, slide it inside the pocket.
As you can see, it still fits with no problems,
and that way it is safe!
This was just to give you an idea of the pocket size.
Then we have the middle compartment
which I think is the main compartment.
It is very spacious, as you can see.
Lots of space to put your stuff... Several pockets...
Pockets with zippers...
another pocket... another one with velcro.
So, you can easily organize all your stuff.
On the back, there’s the computer compartment
which is also spacious, and has several pockets
pockets with a kind of an elastic mesh or something.
The backpack came with this bag inside,
which has two zippers: one here, and the other right here.
It has a sewing dividing it in half, so you can have two separate pockets.
And this is where I keep my power cables.
Put it aside, so you can see the computer pocket.
Here it is... closes with a tab and two velcros.
It is strategically placed,
because there’s all this padded front,
and all this reinforced padded back.
Now let me show you how does the sleeve - with the Mac inside -, fits on this pocket...
Ok, so, like this, you have total protection.
You can go anywhere you want... no worries
because your computer is secured.
On the back there’s a nice padding...
The straps are also padded, as well as the bottom and the upper back part.
This makes it confortable to carry around.
Your skin is able to breathe, which avoids sweating.
And of course, this gives you extra confort.
On the sides, there are these elastic pockets
useful to carry a water bottle, or something.
And also these zippered pockets, suitable for small objects.
This one is identical...
So, these are useful pockets to carry stuff you which to have at hand.
Just a detail, so you can see the built quality of this backpack: the handle.
Soft rubber on the outside
with a flexible steel cable on the inside,
covered with a transparent rubber tube.
And that’s it guys! This is the solution I’ve adopted.
With this solution, I think my computer is safe
against scratches and minor impacts with other objects inside the backpack.
On the other hand, the backpack gives extra protection
against bigger impacts.
This solution assures me the computer’s safety while travelling.
Hope you liked, and see you in the next video!
