Initial Placement. Move cursor to where you wish effect to start. Then open your green screen effect video file.
Select "From Cursor Position" to start the video where you have set the cursor.
Place the video on the work mat by holding down the left mouse button and moving the mouse to size the video on the mat.
To remove the green background, first click on Video tab above the timeline.
In the menu, select Video Effects / Transparent / Background Remover.
Click OK to start the effect from the cursor position.
There may be a small amount of color remaining around the object.
To remove this color, first click on Properties Window.
Finely adjust Chroma Brightness Threshold, ChromaticityU, & ChromaticityV.
Move each a small amount to the right until some color is removed.
This takes some practice to understand how each works in removing the residual color.
If background color is different than green, use "Get color from scene" and sample background color with eyedrop tool.
Slide the cursor along the timeline to ensure that the ring is gone throughout the length of the effect clip.
Click on the Scene tab. Then click and hold the left mouse button over the video effect to adjust its placement.
To add movemenmt to the effect, click on Video tab, then click on Add Object / Movement.
Click and hold the left mouse button where you wish movement to start from. Then drag mouse to where you wish movement to end.
Adjust speed of movement by shortening or lengthening the Movement bar in the timeline.
You can quick preview the effect by moving the cursor along the timeline.
Now apply a zoom effect to simulate the object growing larger as it approaches.
Click on the Video tab, then click on Video Effects / Transforms / Zoom.
Adjust Zoom bar to same length as Movement bar in timeline.
Click on Properties Window, then adjust Zoom X, Y starting and ending values. I set X, Y start values to 0 and end values to 100%.
Slide the timeline cursor to quick preview the effect.
Now apply Transparency to enhance the visual effect of an object approaching rapidly from a great distance.
Click on Video Effects / Transparent / Custom.
Adjust Transparency bar to same length as Movement bar.
Click on Poperties Window, then adjust starting and ending values for transparency.
I used a starting of 42% (semi-transparent) and an ending value of 100% (solid).
Click on Project / Build Project to render the final video.
