Woman: Key Polymer embraces the international standard as a way of life rather than a burden.
Quality production is our mantra, and we spare no expense in accomplishing this. Let's talk
to Mark, Vice President of Technology, about why this means so much to Key.
Mark Wanthal: Quality is pervasive at Key. It's a continuum as practice at Key from the
raw materials, the operators, the batch tickets, the formulas, the testing, how it's stored,
how it's shipped. It all connects our quality management system to yours.
Dan Oh: When customer visits us to inspect our quality, we can show them all the documentation
for training of the employees, plus all the batch tickets that are available for them
to inspect. Also, all the calibrations that we perform on our instrumentation to make
sure that the product that we make, it meets to all the specifications.
Man 1: Being ISO certified helps us to run the company more efficiently and more effectively
and more reproducively. But also, because these are meaningful things that we've put
into the ISO system for controlling, it makes the job easier.
Man 2: We are ISO 9001 registered and I think that gives us a leg up on most small companies.
It also allows us to have certain processes in place for product preservation, for product
realization, keeping of inventory, and also, lots of work instructions, so that we do the
same thing every day all the time, and the customer gets the same product the same way
every time.
